If you’ve been wracking your brain to find something different for this New Year’s Eve then look no further. The RTE New Year’s Eve Gala Concert 2007 is a unique way of seeing in 2008 and is sure to be an extraordinary night for all. The National Concert Hall is located on Earlsfort Terrace, just south of Saint Stephen’s Green, in the heart of the city centre. If you’re walking to the venue, say from O’Connell Street, just head south across the river and walk past Trinity College and onto Grafton Street. Walk the length of Grafton Street (it’s pedestrianised) until you come to Saint Stephen’s Green. Earlsfort terrace is located on the diagonally opposite side of the park and the Concert Hall is about half way down this street.
There are a number of public transport options that are convenient to the Concert Hall. There’s a Luas stop about 5 minutes away on Harcourt Street while the nearest DART Station is on Pearce Street. You can also get here by bus. A number of bus routes stop nearby including the number 10, 11, 13, 14, 14A, 15, 15A, 15B, 15C, 27C, 44, 46A, 46B, 48A and 68.
If you’re driving it should be noted that the National Concert Hall doesn’t have a car park of its own, though there are a number of parking facilities nearby, including on street parking, if you’re lucky enough to get it. Other parking options include the Royal College of Surgeons car park, Dawson Street car park, Drury Street car park, Park Rite car park and Saint Stephen’s Green car park.
The RTE New Year’s Eve Gala Concert 2007 is going to be a very special event and is an excellent way see out the old and ring in the new. The RTE Concert Orchestra has a great line-up that includes many of your all time favourite classical tunes as well as some other popular and easy listening music. Gary Williams and Franzita Whelan will accompany the orchestra, which is conducted by David Brophy. You can be sure of an electric atmosphere as the concert comes to a high point at midnight.
Tickets for this exceptional event will be going on sale on Monday December 3rd at 10am, with a maximum of 4 per person – they will be sold on a first come first served basis. Be sure to get there early, as the concert is the National Concert Hall’s top selling annual event. The ticket price includes a glass of champagne and there will also be some music in the Foyer at 8.15pm, before the main concert that begins at 9:45pm.

The Kildare Street Hotel is another 2-Star hotel while the 3-Star Premier Suites Dublin and The Leeson Court Hotel, which is unclassified but is about 2-Star level, are located on Lower Leeson Street.
