Heineken Cup – Leinster Vs Stade Toulousain
This is a much-anticipated game in this years Heineken Cup. It’s a very important game for Leinster as Stade Toulousain, or Toulouse as they are more commonly known, are very much the team to beat in their group.
The boys from Toulouse have a very good pedigree as they have won the very first Heineken Cup in 1996 and more recently have won the 2003 and 2005 championships, which makes them the most successful team in the cup. They were also runners up in the 2004 Cup.
Kick-off for the Leinster Vs Stade Toulousain game in the RDS Main Arena is at 1:30pm on Saturday 12th of January.
The RDS (Royal Dublin Society) occupies an area of about 42 acres, in Ballsbridge, Dublin D4 and is situated near to Herbert Park.
It about 2.5km walk from the city centre but it’s much easier to get the bus number 7, 5, and 45 which you can catch at Nassau Street outside of Trinity College. You could also hop on the DART train at Connolly Station or Tara Street in the city centre and get off at the Lansdowne Road stop which is just walking distance from the RDS.
If you are walking, then take Nassau Street (next to Trinity College). Continue straight onto Claire Street, Merrion Square North and onto Lower Mount Street. Cross the Grand Canal and onto Norththumberland Road which becomes Pembroke Road and Merrion Road and you’ll see the RDS on your right hand side.
