The Art Ireland Spring Collection is by far one of the best and most popular art fairs in the country. Even if you’re not an art buyer, you’ll love the colour and creativity that you’ll see when you browse the stalls at this event. It’s on in the Main Hall of the RDS from the 27th-30th of March, so read on to find out lots more information on the event, how to get there and where to stay closeby.
About the event…

Art Ireland run a number of art exhibitions throughout the year and this annual event is the first each year. This is the Irish Art Fair’s spring collection, which features the work of over 80 galleries and independent artists so it’s a great way to see the works of art and even meet some famous Irish and international artists The art comes in all forms from paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures and range in different prices so there’s sure to something for everyone whether you’re looking for an investment or just something to brighten up your home
This annual art fair will be held in the Main Hall RDS from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th of March. The opening times for the fair Thursday 27th (6pm – 9pm), Friday 28th (12pm – 9pm), Saturday 29th (11am – 7pm) and Sunday 30th (11am – 7pm).

How to get to the RDS…
The RDS is situated south of the city centre in the suburb of Ballsbridge, Dublin D4.
If you’re walking out from the city centre then you can head south across the river and past Trinity College and then head onto Nassau Street. Stay on this street for only 150 metres before turning right onto Clare Street, which passes Merrion Square and becomes Mount Street. Stay on this road for another kilometre or so and you should see the RDS on your right hand side. This walk takes about 20 minutes but you could also get bus numbers 7,5 from Upper O’Connell Street or the number 45 from Eden Quay in the city centre.

The DART train is another way of getting to and from the city centre. You can hop on the DART at Connolly or Tara Street Station in the city centre and get off at Lansdowne Road stop, which is within easy walking distance of the RDS.
