Celine Dion is bringing her ‘Taking Chances’ world tour 08-09 to Croke Park stadium, Dublin for one night only on May 30th 2008. This promises to be a fantastic show featuring all her major hits, plus some new hits from her latest album ‘Taking Chances’ which was released last winter. About the concert…

Celine Dion has come along way since she first began her singing career in Canada in the early eighties and last year it was announced that she had sold over 200 million records worldwide to date!

The tour is called the “Taking Chances Tour” which is named after her 13th and latest album, Taking Chances, that was released in November. Along with her powerful vocals, it’s sure to be a feast of dance, colour and surprise.

For this performance in Dublin, the operatic pop group Il Divo will join Celine Dion as special guests. The tickets for this show were sold out in about 3 hours! The show is on Friday 30th of May and it will start at 5pm

Dublin hotels: Gresham Hotel

Croke Park is located on the northside of Dublin city centre in an area called Drumcondra. It is easily walked from O’Connell Street (Dublin’s main street). Just head to the top of O’Connell Street (opposite end to river) and along Parnell Square East. Turn right along Great Denmark Street, and stay going straight, as the road becomes Gardiner Place, Fitzgibbon Street, Russell Street and finally Jones Road where you can see the stadium. The walk should take no more than 15/20minutes.
