The Furey’s and Davey Arthur are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion they are having a concert in the Pavilion Theatre on the 10th of February, and a follow on tour throughout the country. The Furey’s & Davey Arthur are celebrating their 30th year at the forefront of Irish Folk Music. As part of their anniversary they are releasing a ‘LIVE Best of…’ DVD and CD, and they are also going on tour to support it. Included in the line-up for the concert are all the old favourites such as ‘When You Were Sweet 16′, ‘Green Fields Of France’, ‘Red Rose Café’, ‘From Clare To Here’ and ‘Leaving Nancy’. There is also ‘The Lonesome Boatman’ which was composed by Finbar Furey, and remains one of the most memorable and moving whistle tunes of all time.

This concert will be taking place in the Pavilion Theatre on Sunday 10th of February. The show starts at 8pm.

How to get to the Pavillion Theatre…

 
The Pavillion Theatre lies overlooking the harbour in Dun Laoghaire, a beautiful coastal town about 20 minutes from Dublin city centre.

The theatre is located on the Upper level of the Pavilion complex and it is quite easy to get to with the Dun Laoghaire DART station situated just across the road. A number of bus routes, 7, 7A, 8, 45A, 46A, 59, 75 and the 111, also serve the area from the city centre.
