About the venue
Malahide Castle is the perfect setting for this concert. The castle is located in Malahide, a beautiful coastal part of Dublin, about 16km north of Dublin city. Malahide Castle is situated on 250 acres of parkland which provide the perfect location for outdoor concerts. (Eric Clapton and Radiohead have also confirmed dates for Malahide Castle this Summer).
The castle dates as far back at the 12th century when it became home to the Talbot family. It stayed in the Talbot family for almost 800 years and today if you explore the castle and its Great Hall you can learn a lot about the history of this family.
Malahide Castle is also home to Tara’s Palace, one of the finest doll house displays in the world. The Fry Model Railway is also located here, as is The Talbot Botanic Gardens.
