One of the highlights of the year in the picturesque village of Roundstone has to be Roundstone Arts Week. It kicks off on the 27th of June with an art exhibition and a wine reception. Artists to be featured include, Eric Clarke, Philip Morrison, Elain Callan, Catherine Davidson and Susan Mc Keever.

It’s kind of a “back to basics” festival with events such as a treasure hunt, a children’s fishing corner, a fishing competition and a sandcastle competition. Other events taking place over the two weekends include an archaeological field trip, painting and drawing workshops, literary readings, flower arranging and clay pigeon shooting. And from Monday the 30th to Friday the 4th of July there’ll be a number of workshops, including one for children. There won’t be any shortage of music either with outdoor gigs over both weekends.
