Eric Clapton plays Live At The Marquee in Cork on Friday 20th June 2008. With music spanning decades you won’t be surprised to hear that the concert has already been sold out. If you’ve managed to get a ticket, check out our guide to the music, the event and the riverside venue!
We reckon that Eric Clapton playing Live At The Marquee in Cork has to be one of the gigs of the summer. In fact, it’s quite an achievement for Aiken Promotions to be able to bring such an icon of rock music to Ireland’s southern capital.
With endless albums, number one singles and more awards than he probably would care to remember, Eric Clapton is one of those artists that have managed to last the distance. And we doubt if he’s anywhere close to being finished yet!
Expect the banks of the River Lee to come to life when hits such as “Layla”, “Cocaine”, “Tell The Truth” and “Motherless Children” are belted out by the guitar maestro and it’ll be impossible not to roll back the years when the opening strains of “Wonderful Tonight” are heard.
Aiken Promotions website informs us that the event is completely sold out so count yourself lucky if you’re on your way to the Marquee.
